Billing procedures

Jimmy The Handyman performs all work on a pay per completion model. And we will require payment after every visit. What this means is that we only charge for work that has been performed and completed. If we only finish half the work, we will still charge 50% of the total Job. A quarter of the work would be charged as .25% and so on. We will require all material to be paid on the first day of work. We do not allow for negotiations, however if work has been completed poorly, we will offer a discount in order to make it right.

Commercial jobs have 24 hours to pay the invoice provided using credit card.

The consumer has the right to withhold payment if he or she believes payment is not justified. Jimmy The Handyman LLC may not remove, alter, destroy, or otherwise sabotage work completed even if payment is withheld. If the consumer withholds payment. Jimmy The Handyman LLC, will demand payment. The first step in the payment demand will be a formal settlement. This settlement will be a fraction of the price of the original bill. Jimmy The Handyman LLC will permanently ban a customer from service if a settlement has been issued unless the full invoice amount has been paid in full or another agreement has been reached. If a settlement has not been resolved after 14 days from the date of non-payment. Jimmy The Handyman LLC will Issue a Letter of demand via us mail. If no response is given within 14 days of the letter sent date. Jimmy The Handyman LLC will than forward the invoice to a collection’s agency. If 30 days pass from the date of the start of collections Jimmy The Handyman LLC. Will than go to the clerk of the circuit court and open a lien of judgment on the property with the non-paid invoice. Jimmy The Handyman LLC’s Collection efforts stop at the lien. Jimmy The Handyman LLC does not demand payment in small claims court.

Guarantee Policy

We are committed to keeping all of our customers satisfied with Affordability, Integrity and, Quality. To help ensure that all of our customers are satisfied by this core belief. We back all of our services with a 1 Year satisfaction Guarantee.

This guarantee states that, Jimmy The Handyman, LLC. will return free of charge if any one customer is not fully satisfied, Or there is any problem whats so ever with the quality of our work. Justifiable cause for a return may need to be provided for a return like a picture, video or a written, and ,or verbal description. Once the complaint has been submitted via phone call, text or Email, Jimmy The Handyman has 14 days from the initial date of the complaint to return and properly address any issues. Please note that most issues are resolved within 72 hours. However if Jimmy The Handyman does fail to return within the allotted 14 day period than the customer will be entitled under this guarantee to receive a full refund for the services rendered. The refund is only for labor cost, materials cost will not be refunded. Furthermore any alterations to any repairs, or installations completed by Jimmy The Handyman can, and may result in this guarantee being void.

Gutter Cleaning Guarantee

Jimmy The Handyman’s 30 day gutter cleaning guarantee states that after receiving a gutter cleaning any and all downspouts must flow freely. If any downspouts are clogged Jimmy The Handyman has 14 days from the initial date of the complaint to return to address the issue. Most issues in this matter are resolved within 5 days. If Jimmy The Handyman does not return in the allowed 14 day period. The customer is entitled to receive a refund in the form of a check, or credit towards the next service. Refund amount may be a partial refund of full refund dependent on circumstances. 1 return is permitted per cleaning.

Jimmy The Handyman offers a 90 day guarantee on all pest control services unless stated otherwise. This guarantee states that after receiving pest control services. The treated structure and its entirety are guaranteed to be insect, or targeted pest free, this is however within reason. Prior to starting a complaint for a return, please allow up to 14 days to see a noticeable and significant decline, and or complete eliminations of the targeted pest. If after the 14 day period pests are still persisting Jimmy The Handyman, LLC. will return free of charge to address and remedy the issue. After the 3rd Attempt to remediate the problem, unless otherwise stated Jimmy The Handyman will offer an option for a refund. Voids of this guarantee may include cleanliness issues, failure to follow guided instructions, or altering any performed service.

Rodent Exclusion Guarantee

Jimmy The Handyman offers a 1 year guarantee on rodent Exclusion. This guarantee states that once your rodent exclusion has taken place you will no longer have mice entering the dwelling. If after 14 days you are still noticing activity Jimmy The Handyman, LLC. Will return free of charge to inspect and remediate any problems. Voids of this guarantee may include failure to follow guided instructions or altering any performed service.

Pest Control Guarantee

Jimmy The Handyman offers the industry standard 3 month guarantee for any pest control application unless stated otherwise. This guarantee states that once a pest control application has been performed by Jimmy The handyman If you continue to see insect activity Jimmy The Handyman, LLC. Will return free of charge to address any issues and perform a reapplication if needed. The Pest Control Guarantee Requires 2 follow up attempts before a full refund can be issued to the consumer. Included in this guarantee include, general insect, including wasp, and hornet nests, ants, flies, etc. Excluded in this guarantee include difficult to control insects, and infestations like cockroaches, or termites. Finally all directions must be followed for this guarantee to stay valid. Sanitary and environmental issues may void this warranty.

Hours of Operation for lawn mowings.

  • We mow Monday, Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday Friday, and Saturday are makeup days for mowing to accommodate for weather 

  • Hours a 7:30am-4pm

  • We want to be on our first lawn no later than 7:45 am and not before 8am 

  • We want to be off all lawns after 4 pm  

  • route beings at 8am and ends at 3pm

  • Call Aheads must be completed the day they are scheduled for no exceptions

  • We do not use ride on machines to mow in the rain no exceptions

  • If weekends are not desired to work, one may opt to work in the rain with a push mower 

  • If it rains Friday and Saturday the makeup day will be Sunday.

  • If it rains Sunday Jimmy The Handyman, and any available team members will assist is push mowing the routes to get them all complete prior to Monday morning.

Refund procedures

Refunds are not actually given unless serious reason requires it

Refunds are done in terms of Account credit 

Account credit can be used on any service offered, and is not redeemable for cash

If a refund is issued by Jimmy The Handyman LLC a check will be issued payable to the customer, and the check must be hand delivered we will not mail checks.

Employee Policies

At no time may any employee remove his or her shirt unless to replace the shirt with a new one. No Exceptions

Smoking around a customer is strictly prohibited, smoking is permitted off the property.

Alcohol, and mind altering substances including, and not limited to marijuana, cocaine, narcotics prescription medication, or any unlisted illicit substance is strictly prohibited, 1st offense will result in immediate termination

All employees must show up on time or within 15 mins of scheduled time. Failure to do so may result in either a verbal warning, or a write up.

Any and all employees of Jimmy The Handyman LLC must take caution in verbiage while around customers, so swearing is allowed, but obvious exceptions are made.

No weapons may be on your person or inside any company vehicle 

Don't act or drive in an unprofessional manner on customer’s property, or on the public roadway. All traffic laws must be obeyed during the operation of a company vehicle.

Home repairs, and or Lawn maintenance can be dangerous so always be safe and professional and always be prepared for something unexpected. If you need assistance with any task it is your responsibility to ask for help.

Don't violate any city, or state laws while on the job.

Customer payments are to be made using credit card, zelle to Jimmy The Handyman LLC, or checks payable only to Jimmy The Handyman LLC

Do not accept cash payments unless cash was handed as a tip

Any borrowed tools must be returned at the end of each work day unless otherwise specified.

Don't damage or misuse any company owned tools, or it will be deducted from any bonuses until the tool is paid off from bonuses. It will not be deducted from a paycheck

selling any company issued tools will result in immediate termination, and possibly legal action.

You are allowed up to 3 sick days per month and 12 per year. You must call, or text at least 10 hours in advance to advise you will be taking a sick day.  You are allowed to take holidays off if requested 5 Days in advance. 

After Working over 40 hours you will get overtime of your regular pay multiplied by 1.5 

Any other Illinois mandated regulation will apply to your employment with Jimmy The Handyman LLC

You must get approval from Jimmy The Handyman LLC to provide customers with any discounts

You must contact Jimmy The Handyman LLC if any complications arise on any job, or if any accidental damage occurs during any repair, maintenance, inspection, or installation on a customer's property. Failure to report any accidents will result in deductions from any bonus, write up, and or termination.

Upon arrival at any customer's house you must Identify yourself as an employee of Jimmy The Handyman LLC

Do not accept any job offers undisclosed to Jimmy The Handyman LLC as this will result in immediate termination, as it is unethical, and just wrong.

Employees may be paid at the end of every day with a pay deduction of $5 or at the end of every work week with no pay deduction

Photos before and after every job are required in order to properly document and ensure both the customer and employee, and Jimmy The Handyman LLC is protected.

Ear phones are permitted at work, but you must be able to hear out of at least one ear
